Tidio alternative: price, Lyro and support vs Supportifier
Tidio is a web chat with the AI agent Lyro, priced per month with conversation quotas, from a free tier to Plus at USD 300 per month. Supportifier is a Swedish platform where a reviewed knowledge base powers help centre, chat, forms, phone, messaging, inbox and customer portal, from SEK 79,000 per year. Tidio suits a limited chat need; Supportifier suits teams whose whole customer service should answer alike.
Tidio is an affordable way to get a web chat with AI in place quickly. Supportifier is a larger setup where a reviewed knowledge base is used in every channel, from chat and email to phone, and is implemented together with you. This comparison is written by Supportifier; the information about Tidio comes from Tidio's own pages and the conclusions are our assessments.
What is Tidio and what is Supportifier?
Tidio is essentially a web chat with an AI agent and simpler ticket handling; Supportifier is a ticketing system where the knowledge base powers every channel. They are different sizes of solution, and that should show in the comparison.
According to Tidio's pricing page, the offer has three parts: customer service with live chat, tickets and email, the AI agent Lyro, and Flows for automated chat flows. Even the free tier includes live chat, ticket handling, email, video calls, FAQ upload and multilingual support. Higher tiers add automatic assignment, macros, departments, API and SSO.
Supportifier consists of a public help centre, AI form, AI and live chat, inbox with suggested replies, customer portal, phone, and WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Instagram Direct in the same inbox. All of them use the same knowledge base, which we build from your documents, your website and past tickets. Your team reviews what should apply. How the chat works is described on the AI chat page.
What does Tidio cost in 2026?
Tidio costs from USD 0 and is paid per month with quotas for conversations, not per agent. This is how the pricing page looked when we checked it on 9 October 2026. According to the page, annual billing gives two months free, and the prices below are the ones shown.
| Plan | Price per month | Billable conversations | Seats |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | USD 0 | 50 | 10 |
| Starter | USD 24.17 | 100 | 10 |
| Growth | From USD 49.17 | From 250 | 10 |
| Plus | USD 300 plus usage | Custom | Custom |
| Premium | Price on request | Custom | Custom |
Lyro and Flows are bought as quotas. According to the pricing page, Lyro as a standalone product costs from USD 32.50 per month for 50 conversations, and paid quotas are available from 50 to 1,000 conversations per month. Premium has pay-per-resolution pricing and a guaranteed Lyro resolution rate of 50 percent. Removing Tidio's branding costs USD 16.67 per month on Growth.
How the quota is counted is described by Tidio in the help article on the Lyro limit. Each time Lyro replies for the first time in a new conversation thread, one conversation is counted. A thread closes after 15 minutes of inactivity, so a customer who returns later is counted again. The free quota of 50 does not renew, and when it runs out Lyro stops replying.
A worked example: anyone who needs 1,000 Lyro conversations per month should budget for a paid Lyro quota on top of Growth, and for what happens in a peak season when the quota runs out. Request an exact price for your volume, since the quota prices are not shown in detail on the page.
Supportifier starts at SEK 79,000 per year for the smallest customers. The setup consists of platform and operations according to agreed scope and volume, implementation and knowledge work as a one-off effort, and any integrations. More is on the pricing page. For a company that only needs a small web chat, Tidio is very likely cheaper.
How do Tidio and Supportifier differ feature by feature?
Tidio is strongest in the chat; Supportifier in how the same knowledge is used across several channels. The information about Tidio is according to Tidio's website and may differ between plans.
| Area | Tidio | Supportifier |

On data storage, Tidio's GDPR privacy policy says that data is mainly processed within the EEA on servers there, but that some data may be transferred to and processed in the US. In Supportifier, all customer data is stored within the EU/EEA with no transfer to third countries, see the security page.
When is Tidio the better fit?
Tidio is the better fit when the need is a web chat and the budget is small. You can start for free, install it yourself and grow over time.
- You are a smaller online shop that wants chat and simple automated flows on the website.
- You want to test AI in the chat without a contract or implementation project.
- Volume is low and predictable, so the quotas are enough.
- You want to build your own chat flows with Flows, for example to capture visitors.
- You already have FAQ content that holds up and someone who keeps it updated.
When is Supportifier the better fit?
Supportifier is the better fit when the chat is only one of several channels that should give the same answer. If email, forms and the help centre say different things, a new chatbot does not solve that.
- You want chat, forms, help centre, phone and inbox to answer from the same reviewed knowledge.
- You have a few hundred tickets a week and need a proper inbox with owner, status and response time targets.
- You want the vendor to build the knowledge base and your team to review it.
- Answers need to be based on orders and deliveries in, for example, Shopify, Magento or PostNord, and the chat should be able to cancel an order or open a return once you switch it on.
- You want the chat to say that it does not know and hand over, instead of guessing.
How do you test Tidio and Supportifier fairly?
Compare the same customer questions and separate the chat need from the larger customer service need. Comparing a free plan with a full setup without accounting for the difference is misleading in both directions.
- Test the most common delivery questions, one rule with exceptions and one question with no answer.
- Assess whether the AI hands over when the source material is missing, and how the agent takes over.
- Count conversations in a normal week and in peak season, and what happens when the quota runs out.
- Track accuracy and repeat contacts over a few weeks, as in our Swedish guide to automating customer service.
