A Swedish online retailer looking for customer service software soon comes across Gorgias. It is one of the most widely used helpdesks for online stores, especially for those selling on Shopify. Supportifier is something different: a Swedish platform built around a reviewed knowledge base, which we develop ourselves. We are writing this comparison as a vendor, then. We take Gorgias's features from Gorgias's own pages, and we say when something is our judgement.
What are Gorgias and Supportifier at their core?
Gorgias is an e-commerce helpdesk with an AI agent on top; Supportifier is a knowledge base that answers in five channels. That difference in starting point explains most of the rest of this comparison.
According to Gorgias's pricing page, Gorgias consists of two products. Helpdesk is described as a support hub "designed specifically for ecommerce and Shopify" that brings the store's channels into one inbox. AI Agent resolves questions, gives shopping advice in chat and carries out actions such as returns and order tracking without a human involved. Gorgias connects to the e-commerce platform, and its website lists Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Magento and PrestaShop.
Supportifier consists of five channels that share a reviewed knowledge base: public help centre, AI form, AI and live chat, inbox with suggested replies, and customer portal. The knowledge is built once from material you already have, reviewed by your team and then used in whichever channel you choose. The order is fetched from the e-commerce platform and the delivery status from the carrier, so the answer to "where is my parcel?" applies to that customer's own order.
How do the AI answers and the knowledge behind them differ?
Both can resolve tickets without a human, but they differ in who builds the knowledge and how the answer is kept within what has been reviewed. You set up Gorgias's AI agent in the tool yourselves. According to the pricing page, onboarding is self-serve on the two smallest plans, with support from Gorgias on the larger ones, and there is a seven-day trial with no card details. That suits a team that wants to start straight away and has time to build and fine-tune.
In Supportifier the knowledge base is the starting point. We build it during onboarding from your previous tickets, terms and website, you review what should apply, and every channel answers from the same articles. When the material has no answer, the chat says so and hands over instead of guessing. A suggested reply, an automatic answer and an action carried out are three different things, and you decide per flow which applies.
For a Swedish store, language matters. Answers need to be in Swedish and consistent with Swedish terms, such as the right of withdrawal and complaint rules. Gorgias's listing in the Shopify App Store gives English as the app's language. So test how well the AI agent answers your own questions in Swedish during the trial, before you decide.
What do the pricing models look like?
Gorgias is priced by tickets per month, with AI resolutions on top; Supportifier is agreed as an annual price based on scope. Gorgias's pricing page says Helpdesk is priced by tickets and never per agent. On monthly billing in October 2026, the plans cost 10 dollars for 50 tickets, 60 dollars for 300, 360 dollars for 2,000 and 900 dollars for 5,000 tickets a month. Above that, a custom quote applies. If you exceed your plan's tickets you pay for the extra ones, 36 dollars per hundred on the two largest plans.
The AI agent is billed per automated interaction, meaning a ticket resolved entirely without an agent: between 0.85 and 1 dollar each, depending on the plan and on whether you pay monthly or annually. Each such interaction also counts as a helpdesk ticket. If an agent replies within 72 hours, it is charged only as an ordinary ticket. A worked example with the pricing page's figures: a store with 1,300 tickets a month lands on the 2,000-ticket plan at 360 dollars a month. If the AI agent resolves a quarter of them, 325 tickets, roughly 290 to 325 dollars a month is added.
The model is logical: you pay for what is used. But the cost grows with volume, so a successful rollout and a peak season both make the month more expensive. Gartner also predicts that the industry's cost per AI-resolved ticket will exceed three dollars by 2030.
Supportifier starts at SEK 79,000 a year for the smallest customers, and every setup is quoted separately based on channels, volume, onboarding and integrations. It is invoiced annually in advance, and you get the price, volume limits and terms in writing before you decide. There is more about the setup on the pricing page.
| Question | Gorgias | Supportifier |
|---|---|---|
| Basic unit | Tickets per month, in four plans | Annual price by channels, volume and scope |
| AI resolutions | 0.85–1 dollar per automated interaction | Included in the agreed volume |
| Peak season | More tickets and resolutions raise the monthly cost | Volume limits agreed in advance |
| Onboarding | Self-serve, with support on the larger plans | Knowledge work and first flow together with us |
| Invoicing | Monthly or annually | Annually in advance |
Which systems can be connected?
Both fetch orders and customer data from the store, but the range of integrations differs. Gorgias is most tightly integrated with Shopify. According to the comparison table on its pricing page, WooCommerce is included on all plans, BigCommerce from the second-smallest and Magento only from the 2,000-ticket plan, and beyond that there are integrations with more than 150 apps. Check that the Swedish systems you use are among them, such as your payment provider and carriers.
Supportifier connects to Shopify, Magento and Viskan ETM, to payments via Qliro, Stripe and Billecta, and to the carriers PostNord, DHL, DSV and CityMail, so that order status and tracking can be shown in the answer. What each integration reads and does is described on the e-commerce page. Read and write permissions are specified separately, so an integration that only needs to read an order cannot change it.
Where is data stored, and what applies under GDPR?
Both can keep customer data in the EU, but in different ways. According to Gorgias's pricing page, the service runs in Google Cloud data centres in the United States, the EU and Australia, and customer data is hosted in the region closest to the customer. Gorgias states that it complies with GDPR, that data is removed within 90 days of the contract ending, and that SSO with Google and Microsoft 365 is supported. Ask Gorgias which region your account will be in and which sub-processors are used, and request the data processing agreement.
In Supportifier, customer data is stored within the EU/EEA. Customers' tickets are not used to train AI models, and a data processing agreement is signed with every customer.
When does Gorgias fit, and when does Supportifier fit?
Gorgias fits when you want a ready-made helpdesk for Shopify and to build it yourselves; Supportifier fits when you want the knowledge built with you and answering the same way in every channel. Our judgement, as a vendor:
- Choose Gorgias if the store runs on Shopify, the team works in English or has time to test the Swedish, you want to get going yourselves this week, and you prefer to pay per ticket and per resolution.
- Choose Supportifier if you want help centre, chat, forms and inbox to answer from the same reviewed knowledge in Swedish, want the knowledge work done together with the vendor, need Swedish payment and carrier integrations, and want to know the annual cost in advance.
- Compare like with like. You cannot tell which will be cheaper without your own volumes. That is why the first step below is to count.
What to do
- Count your tickets per month, on average and during peaks such as Black Week and Christmas. That is the basis both for Gorgias's plans and for our setup.
- Estimate how many tickets AI can resolve, such as order status, returns and delivery times, and work out what they cost per ticket with Gorgias.
- Test the Swedish. Put your twenty most common questions to Gorgias's AI agent during the trial, and ask us to show the same questions in Supportifier.
- Calculate the time freed up, not just the licence. The ROI calculator does this with your own figures, using the same model as the article on the business case for AI.
- Compare the contracts, including where data is stored, the data processing agreement and what happens to your data when the contract ends. What a move between systems requires is covered in the article on switching customer service systems.
Common questions
Can Gorgias answer in Swedish?
Gorgias's listing in the Shopify App Store gives English as the app's language, and we have not found any statement from Gorgias on how well the AI agent handles Swedish. The best way to find out is to test your own most common questions during the trial and compare the answers with your terms, for example on the right of withdrawal and returns.
What does Gorgias cost in Swedish kronor?
Gorgias prices in dollars, with plans based on tickets per month and a fee for each ticket the AI agent resolves. In October 2026 the 2,000-ticket plan costs 360 dollars a month on monthly billing, and each AI-resolved ticket around 1 dollar. What that comes to in kronor depends on the exchange rate and your volume, so work it out with your own figures.
Is Supportifier cheaper than Gorgias?
It depends on the number of tickets, how many AI resolves and how much knowledge work you do yourselves, so there is no general answer. Gorgias's cost grows with volume every month, while Supportifier is agreed as an annual price with volume limits. Compare the total cost for a year, including your own time to build and maintain the answers.
What happens to our data if we leave Gorgias?
Gorgias states that customers own their data and that it is removed from Gorgias's systems within 90 days of the contract ending. So ask for an export of your ticket history well before you cancel, and check which format it comes in. Plan the move so that tickets, customer data and the answers that worked come with you to the next system.
